Who Needs to Register for Corporate Tax in the UAE?

Corporate tax registration is mandatory for the following:

  1. UAE Juridical Persons – This includes Free Zone Persons, private or public joint stock companies, and limited liability companies incorporated or otherwise recognised under UAE legislation.

  2. Non-UAE Juridical Persons – Companies incorporated outside the UAE but effectively managed and controlled within the UAE.

  3. Natural Persons – Individuals conducting business or business activities in the UAE, as specified by a cabinet decision under Article 11(6).

  4. Non-Resident Persons – Those with a Permanent Establishment in the UAE or earning UAE-sourced income subject to corporate tax.



UAE Corporate Tax Rates

The UAE applies corporate tax on business income as follows:

  • 0% on taxable income up to AED 375,000

  • 9% on taxable income above AED 375,000

  • 15% on multinational corporations under OECD BEPS 2.0 Pillar 2, i.e., worldwide revenue exceeding AED 3.15 billion



Documents Required for Corporate Tax Registration

To register your business for corporate tax in the UAE, you will need:

  • Trade license

  • Memorandum of Association (MOA) or Articles of Association (AOA) (not required for sole establishments)

  • Passport copy of the signatory

  • Emirates ID of the signatory

  • Visa copy of the signatory (optional)

  • Bank details (Account No./IBAN/Name/Address) (optional)

  • Mobile number

  • Email ID

  • Office address with PO Box



Corporate Tax Filing Deadline

After registering, all businesses must file their corporate tax return by 30 September 2025. Timely registration and filing ensure compliance and avoid penalties.
